Advantages/enhancements using content control formsThe checkbox content control introduced with Word 2010 can be formatted to display practically any combination of pairs to represent the true/false state of the condition. Picture content controls and building block gallery controls are fully enabled and can be incorporated in your form design. Seriously, while the password may offer the designer some peace of mind facing the determined and malicious user, it is really quite useless: Remove the password from a protected document form.If you are still here and "all in" with the idea of shelving traditional restrict editing — Filling in forms, then there are a few more content control form capabilities that you can explore and use: The multiple steps required to remove editing restrictions from a rich text control should eliminate concerns over bumbling users and prevent any advertent alterations in your form content or layout.
